Allow Us To Edify You.
As if anyone could honestly say they were up to date on the most recent occurrences in Laos, as if the grand majority of us were aware of its location, currency, language of choice, population and so forth. As if we understood the troubles of a land thousands of miles of away, which has to deal with an unshakeable governmental grip and a sum of lackluster tactics that were initially used to tackle the hiccups that are holding it back.
Imagine. On the condition that you (and a vast number of the rest of the world) knew of their hardships earlier, envision the future that could have been, a later time riddled with grander forests, less risk of disease and secure surroundings. A higher Freedom Rating would also be nice, but that is always something that can be discussed later. |
Sure, some would say that dwelling on choices that were never made is futile. I would counter by saying that now, at least, we have the thought a better Laos in mind. All that is left for you to do is continue with that aspiration and concoct a basis to stand on by reading through this and widening your horizon to create your own version of the idea.
There will be facts, figures followed by my personal opinions. Feel free to look over that, but do not hesitate to disagree and make it better. Laos needs all the advice, support and additional help it can get, and I am all ears.
